With Summer finally coming to an end and and my daughter going back to school(she is a 4TH grader now!!!!!) I am ready to get back into the swing of things.

For one my blog will not be so lonely anymore:D I have chatted with some of my friends and they generously donated some fun items for give-aways on what will soon be Freebie Friday here on my blog:) YAY!!! There will be more surprises on the way but I will not give any of that way for now;)

Getting back into the swing of making whimsies for children has been SO much FUN!

This weekend I plan on having *rainbow hands* once again. Yes, I am getting into those dye pots..WOOHOO!!!

I just received some new colors and I cannot wait to try them out! Some new shades of green,blue,yellow,red,orange and grey!

I can see those new silks and Whimsie Whirlies now:) I will be sure to post as soon as I have pics;)

I am so EXCITED to say..The Polka Dot Dragon is back in business!!! With the help of some awesome folks who encouraged me to re open our cyber doors and go for it once again:)

Playscapes are F~U~N!!!

I love playing with my daughter! She is so imaginative and keeps me young at heart;) One of our favorite toys are Wool Playscapes and Silk PlaySets! We can sit for hours and have many adventures in woods full of gnomes and fairies,friendly hedgehogs named Henry and of course all our dinosaur friends:)

Even small ones love the feel of the scapes. All those textures and colors really keep them interested and happy!

If you have never played with a wool playscape or silk playset YOU SHOULD!!! They make wonderful Christmas and holidays gifts as well as special celebration and birthday presents:)

My Purple Princess

As a lot of you know my daughter LOVES purple!!! So it was no surprise that she wanted to dress up in as much as that color as possible..LOL! We even found a purple pumpkin to match..who knew:)

She had a wonderful time at her Brownie Halloween Party! She could run like a champ in that dress too:)

She had SO much fun trick or treating! What to do with all that candy I have NO idea;)

Well, my baby is in second grade now. The house is too quiet! I really miss home schooling her but she LOVES her new school here in Virginia!

I honestly think it was harder on me than her. LOL!

Well I know you all remember the tale of Mama Raccoon and her babies. If not..just read a few posts below and you will have the whole story:)

Tonight we were watching a little news before bed and I hear scratching in my Living Room closet! Thinking it was a a poor little bird who had once again lost his way I peeked. Now you all know I am VERY cautious of peeking into closets when I hear strange noises..lol

Well my little raccoon babies decided to visit. I guess they just wanted to tell me they are fine and to maybe even say Thank You for letting us stay...giggles. I told them I was so happy to see them but it would be best to go outside where all good raccoons like to romp and play:) Plus I bribed them with some apples and a few sugar cookies too:) They went right into the cat carrier:D

I did not see mama anywhere at first but as soon as I put the babies on the porch there she came around the house..and I ran back in..LOL! She was not mean or nasty but you never know;)

Oh yeah..the date on pictures are wrong but my daughter thought she knew how to set everything..LOL!

Well..these are the last pics you will see. Mama moved them sometime today. Which is a good thing!

It was fun having them in the closet though. They purr JUST like kittens. It was so adorable.

Next step is to solve the mystery of how they got in:)

So I hear my hubby's toys..I mean collectibles going bonkers in our bedrooom closet. What the heck is going on in there I thought! Not thinking anything to odd would be happening I open the door and see a MAMA RACCOON!

Okaaayyy. SO, I shut the door and call hubby into the bedroom. Honey open the closet and tell me what you see...he opens the door..and says....

OH CRAP who had KITTENS in here..LOL! I said honey..they are NOT kittens they are raccoons..and there are three of them with a mama. BE CAREFUL! Mama must have decided to take a wee break at that time because she was not in there when hubby opened the door....but she is back taking care of her babies now.

So being a wildlife rehabilitator(not practicing now) I decided to let her stay for a bit. I mean she DID just give birth. However in a few days I will place a radio in front of the closet door and she will move them. Who wants a noisy nusery ..ya know;)

Good thing she cannot get out of that closet or that we need to use it on a daily basis(it's our storage closet). Lorna of course is UBER EXCITED! Even is she is not allowed to pet and play with them she still understands and thinks it is SO COOL! I do too:)

Well with the picture I posted you can but when I called for her she was really smooshed down in her Fluffy Friends bin. Then of course she giggled and I found her. Kind of reminded me of that part in E.T. where he was hiding out in the closet.

This is something I have always wanted to do!

I am not fond of all the plastic stuff my daughter gets in goodies bags. I know kids like them and I did too when I was little. Until of course the goodies fell apart and/or broke which is usually when you walk in your front door. Or when you so fondly step on them on the way to the bathroom in the middle of the night...LOL!

So I did something about it and opened my own Etsy shop for party favors,decorations and more! I love that my shop uses recycled/upcycled materials for this and you can be sure they are Earth friendly!

I love Spring! Everything is all new again and so fresh:) Decided to start fresh with blogging too!

Why needle felt of course! My latest addiction has been making woolscapes/playscapes.
These do take a bit longer than one rainy afternoon but the weather here
in Alabama sure has been wet so far this Spring!
